Please join us in 2020 for the return of the four-part series “Psychosynthesis – the Art and Practice of Living and Loving.” We are excited to resume our psychosynthesis journey and exploration at Unity of Tustin after a two year hiatus.
Psychosynthesis is a psycho-spiritual practice that incorporates the Eastern and Western wisdom traditions we study at Unity of Tustin, and is one of the practical roadmaps for the spiritual journey. In a supportive and compassionate group setting we will offer teaching and experiences assisting in the exploration of our shadow selves, and the integration of our personalites with our Higher Selves. This is a process that awakens and empowers us with tools and practices that deepen our understanding of our personal selves and our spiritual selves, and how we relate to others.
In previous years we have been inspired by our realizations of the mystical teachings within Dr. Assagioli’s psychospiritual model. Truly a mystic himself, we have come to see how he integrated the teachings of psychology with the great spiritual traditions, including those of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore and Unity. Dr. Assagioli was well acquainted with New Thought teachings and his archive in Florence contains numerous references to Unity and the Fillmores.
Our four workshops will cover the main concepts of psychosynthesis and include a mix of psychospiritual teachings and experiential exercises that will assist us in evoking spiritual experiences such as Joy and Illumination. We will experience the main practices of psychosynthesis, and easy to use tools for our continued personal and spiritual growth. Each class will take place in the Sanctuary from 1pm to 5pm and will be on a love-offering basis.
Please join us as we continue this exploration together! Prior attendance is not required and all are welcome.
Class facilitators Nicolaas-John and Vanessa van Nieuwenhuysen are long time members of Unity of Tustin and trained in psychosynthesis at the Psychosynthesis Center of Orange County in the early 2000’s under Cliff Ishigaki.
