Music has an almost magical ability to unlock the normal myriad of blocks we sometimes hold in our heart space and quickly open the heart to the Divine Essence that we all truly are.
The Music Ministry at Unity of Tustin believes that music is a universal key to that profoundly sacred space within the heart. Music lifts our spirits, and connects us not only to our Divine Inner Essence, but to that Essence in all beings.
Music for Sunday Celebrations
We embrace a variety of music styles and genres as we embody Unity of Tustin's guiding principle, "Many Paths, One God." Our music is especially 'transdenominational' — a richly woven fabric of spiritual traditions that resonates with Spirit and moves beyond religious classification.
The dynamic music for our Sunday services features inspiring, exciting music from soloists, amazing instrumentalists, and our choir.
Selections from many genres transport our community through tears of joy, exuberant celebration, and quiet reflection, always sending them forth with a song in their hearts.
Our guest musicians are often internationally-known songwriters who share compositions which have been divinely inspired to support the concepts and experiences of awakening on a New Thought path.
Our "Voices of Unity" Choir
We are 30 voices and growing and embrace a full range of skill levels and experience. The blend makes for a beautiful and heartwarming experience.
We perform an eclectic repertoire of New Thought sacred music, traditional spiritual melodies, as well as gospel, rock, pop, and more.
The choir is also blessed with the opportunity to bring to life original music composed by members of our own music ministry. These heart-centered creations are uniquely suited to the ongoing spiritual journey and transformation of our community.
The Choir rehearses one evening a week, provides music for Sunday Celebration once a month, and for special events.
Every moment we spend together in creating the sounds of Spirit is precious to us. Music is a healing balm not only for the listener, but for the musician as well. We experience "that in giving, so shall we receive."
The stories of personal healing, fellowship, and realization of God through making music together are common themes for those who participate in the choir and the music ministry.
