Meditation Retreat at Unity of Tustin

  Meditation is an essential part of spiritual practice. Immersion in the silence for an extended period fosters greater depth and builds inner awareness. For those who cannot participate in our Silent Retreats off-campus, this silent retreat is designed to allow participants to spend their evenings at home while immersing themselves in meditation practice over the weekend.

Each day will consist of meditation instruction, one-hour meditation sits, sharing from the Silence, readings and commentary. The focus will be developing or deepening a meditation practice with a review of different types of meditation including mantra-based meditation, contemplative prayer, and walking meditation. Discussion includes exploration of the effects of meditation on body, mind and spirit. There will also be private appointments with David Nowe, Teacher in Residence, for meditation guidance. Please register below so we may plan for a love-offering lunch on Saturday to allow participants to remain on campus in silence. This is a special opportunity to spend a weekend in the Silence with David Nowe, a long-time meditation practitioner and teacher on our beautiful campus. This is a love offering event.
